A federal judge in New Orleans left intact a $100,500 jury award in a housing discrimination case filed against a Lakeview landlord. The eight-member jury, drawn from a thirteen-parish area including Jefferson, Orleans, Terrebone, and St. Tammany Parishes, reached a verdict on Thursday, January 24, 2002.

     A Portland, Ore., couple accused of discriminating against foster parents has 

receive fair housing training.  Martin and Helen Enyeart will also amend their rental agreements to include language notifying tenants of their rights under fair housing laws.
     The Enyearts rented a three-bedroom house to a single man, Fie Wash, and a two- bedroom house to a single woman, Joyce King in Portland.

The owners of a La Puente, California apartment complex have agreed to pay $8,750 and participate in a comprehensive fair housing program to resolve a complaint filed with the Fair Housing Council of San Gabriel Valley in Pasadena.

On July 20, 2001, Carolina Flores and Jaspal Singh filed a fair housing complaint on behalf of their family against Glendora Apartments, Inc. of La Puente.
